Hydrate Like A Professional

Hydrate Like a Professional.

You eat well. You move. You sleep with intention. And still — the afternoon flatness, the foggy patch, the quiet sense that you're doing everything right and running at 80%. You can drink three litres a day and still be dehydrated, thirsty, grumpy and tired.

Most clean-living routines miss one critical variable. It isn't your diet. It isn't your workout.

It's whether the water you drink ever actually gets inside your cells — and whether your cells are holding enough charge to use it.

Water Follows Charge

You are, afte rall, an electric being powered by light and water!

Here's the mechanism, plainly.

Water doesn't hydrate you because it's wet. It hydrates you because minerals that carry their own charge pull it across the cell membrane and hold it there.

No minerals = no pull into cell. Light (infrared, specifically, also changes its atomic ordering) is also required.

Your municipal tap water is close to empty on charge — it can even dilute what you've already got, as well as impact your pineal gland and bones in unhelpful ways.

And the minerals — sodium, potassium, magnesium, chloride & the full trace spectrum of many more — do a second job that's even bigger.

Every cell in your body runs a tiny battery. Potassium sits high inside the cell, sodium high outside, and that separation of charge holds a voltage across the membrane — around minus seventy millivolts at rest. That voltage isn't a metaphor. It's stored, ready energy, that cells need to work properly.

And it's exactly what your voltage-gated ion channels answer to.

Voltage-gated ion channels are protein gates threaded through your cell membranes that open & close in response to that voltage.

They are how your body works --- a nerve fires, a muscle contracts, a heart beats, a hormone releases, a thought moves. When your mineral charge is strong, those gates snap cleanly and your cells communicate at full signal. When it's low, everything slurs — and you feel it as fatigue, cramp, twitch, fog, slow recovery.

This is why trace minerals matter more than a pinch of salt. Magnesium alone is the cofactor that runs the sodium-potassium pump. The full spectrum tunes the whole electrical system.

(Worth knowing, and I have covered it in my classes, that water sitting against the charged surfaces inside your cells forms an ordered, gel-like layer — structured water, a fourth phase — that separates charge all on its own. A second battery, seeded by the very minerals we're talking about.)

So — mineralise your water. It's the smallest change with the largest downstream effect, and it's completely reversible, so there's nothing to lose by testing it on yourself for two weeks.

I use Aussie Trace Minerals. My code PIAKYNOCH10 gives you a discount, and this link applies it for you:

So Who Charges The Battery?

Minerals give your cells the charge.

Light organises & powers it. This is the part almost everyone leaves out.

Light is information, not just brightness. Morning sunlight landing on your eye and skin is read by specialised cells that help set your master clock just right — and that clock entrains every tissue in your body, right down to the genes that build your water channels (aquaporins) and your ion pumps.

Your hydration & your ion handling run on a daily schedule, set by light. So if you are thirsty all the time, optimising charge with electrolytes is one step, the other is dialling in your circadian rhythms (which si far mpre than light, but light IS the primary signal that sets up those rhythms)

A huge portion of sunlight is infrared, all day and all night (and modern buildings are TOTALLY deficient in thsi spectrum, think about that!) and this is VITAL for us as infrared builds that structured water inside your cells — infarred literally expands the charged layer.

Said even more clearly - sunlight helps charge your intracellular battery. Your mitochondria answer to it too.

Which means the flip side is just as real.

Junk blue light all day and certainly after dark scrambles the same clock that wants to optimise your biological rhythms, blunts your melatonin & disorganises the very hydration & voltage rhythms you're working so hard to build.

You can mineralise perfectly and still undo it under bright lights at 10pm.

So the practice is simple & free: get light in your eyes & on your skin in the morning, get outside across the day, and protect your signal at night.

For the after-dark part, I use Block Blue Light Australia — glasses & circadian-friendly pieces, 10% off applied automatically:

Two variables.
One system.

Minerals hold the charge, light organises it — Biowater, Bioelectricity & Biolight, talking to each other. That's what optimisation actually is: not more inputs, but the right relationships between.
